Bartender notes
The Old Fashioned is one of the oldest cocktails on record โ and one of the most misunderstood. The goal is to enhance the whiskey, not mask it. Stir slowly, taste as you go, and let the dilution do its job. Bourbon gives a sweeter, rounder profile โ but rye is equally correct and brings spice and bite. Both are classic. The choice is yours.
